2018 ARBL Registration Open

Updated Saturday April 21, 2018 by Boys Baseball of Aurora BBA.

Registration for the 2018 ARBL Season is now open!  BBA is proud that this program continue to grow as it enters its 5th Season!

Not only are we looking for participants, but we are also looking for BUDDIES!  Buddies help practice with the athletes before the game, assist them with hitting, fielding and running as required during the game, and most importantly act as their friend on the field / cheerleader.

This is a program for youth with cognitive and physical challenges, helping them to enjoy participation in an athletic environment structured to their abilities. More than the skills of baseball learned through the experience, the value of ARBL is found in the proven therapeutic and socialization benefits of participating in sports, the strengthening of participants’ self-esteem, and the disciplines of teamwork, sportsmanship and fair play, which are hallmarks of Boys Baseball of Aurora. Adaptive Recreational Baseball will provide a structured, athletic activity for all youth in Aurora and the surrounding communities. Playing with the same equipment on the same fields, ARBL participants have the opportunity to experience the joys of pulling together as a team, being cheered, and earning awards for their achievements.

Starz Team Tryouts - 2019

Boys Baseball of Aurora initiated the Aurora Starz tournament team program in 2003. Conceived as a supplement to the traditional "in house" program at both the Minor and Major League levels, participation in the Starz allows boys with the talent and desire to play more baseball during the Summer, that opportunity.

Selected each year in August through a tryout process, team members enjoy a rigorous Fall and Winter schedule to further develop their baseball skills through additional practices, training, and clinics. Beginning in the Spring, the Starz teams travel to tournaments throughout Northern Illinois competing against the areas best talent. During the Summer, Starz players pull double duty - playing on their in house teams during the week and then traveling with their Starz team for weekend tournaments.

Fall Baseball - 2018

Fall Ball is designed to be instructional in nature. There are NO tryouts for this particular league. Boys will be assigned to teams based on age, positions played, friends, current teammates and some other criteria. We encourage everyone to please make requests in these areas so that we can properly place your child.

The league will have modified rules from Summer Baseball because it is intended to be more instructional in nature. There is a continuous batting order and more stringent pitching regulations to increase pitching opportunities for the players.

The league will have four divisions: Rookie for players that were 5 and 6 this year, Minors for players that were 7, 8 and 9, Majors for players that were 10 and 11, and Pony for players that were 12 and 13.

Practices will be limited to once per week and games will be held on Saturdays and Sundays either at 1:00 or 3:00 pm.
